Solubility and stock solutions in DSR
(for automatically dosing by dosing pumps)
NaHCO3 (Sodium bicarbonate) = KH/ALK
Solubility = 96gr/l (25gr C)
To mix 1 liter KH/ALK stock solution:
Weigh 90 grams NaHCO3 and fill up to 1 liter with RO water.
This solution has now the following concentration 90 g/l = <=> 1gr KH <=>11,11ml KH/ALK solution (1000/90)
- if your consumption is calculated per day at 10 grams KH, then this match with (10/1) * 11, 1 ml = 111ml of the KH/ALK solution
CaCl2 ( Calcium Chloride)
Solubility = 745gr/l (25gr C)
To mix 1 liter Calcium stock solution:
Weigh 700gram CaCl2 and fill up to 1 liter with RO water.
This solution has now the following concentration 700gr/l => 1gr CaCl2 <=> 1,429ml CaCl2 solution (1000/700)
- if your consumption is calculated per day at 10 grams CaCl2, then this match with (10/1)*1,429ml= 14,29ml of the CaCl2 solution
MgCl2 (Magnesium Chloride)
solubility = 1570gr/l (25gr C)
To mix 1 liter Magnesium stock solution:
Weigh 750gram MgCl2 and fill up to 1 liter with RO water.
This solution has now the following concentration 750gr/l => 1gr MgCl2 <=> 1,33ml MgCl2 solution (2000/1500)
- if your consumption is calculated per day at 10 grams MgCl2, then this match with (10/1)*1,33ml= 13,3ml of the MgCl2 solution
